This course will enable participants to fully understand how to open an individual brokerage account. We will discuss the history of the stock market and learn about investment vehicles. We will learn how to use print media, TV, and the web to inform ourselves about companies, and see how much easier it is to invest today. By exploring the habits of successful investors, we will learn how to become good at picking stocks. Sometimes there is risk involved, but that is no reason to be hesitant about opening your own stock market account. A tablet or similar device with wi-fi capability is helpful to bring to class.
